Elva Farrow Richardson Chism, 91, of Valrico, FL and formerly of Louisville, KY passed away Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Sun City Center Hospice House, Ruskin, FL.

Mrs. Chism was a member of the Kenwood Baptist Church, Louisville, KY. She was born September 3, 1925 in Meade County, KY and was the daughter of Hewitt Smith & Wanda Esther Stiff Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Chism; and an infant son, Gary Allen Chism.

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Marie Chism McCarley; one granddaughter, Amber Slaughter Nadal & her husband, Keith; two great grandchildren, JT Herlong & his wife, Andrea, Jordan Nadal; one great great granddaughter, Penelope Marie Herlong; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A graveside service for Mrs. Chism will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at the Lebanon National Cemetery, Lebanon, KY.
