I thought and thought and didn’t know what to write
Then all of a sudden, I came on a light,
That I’m thankful to God each and every day
That he saw fit to put you in my life,
And I’m so grateful that you were my wife.
You captured my heart at first site,
You also knew from the beginning,
Us being together, that it was just right.

Although in the early days, hard times we had,
Through happy days and times of sad,
We always had each other,
I’ve been given many gifts in my life,
But above all, the best and most precious of all is to have you as my Wife.
The second of course is as our amazing children that for me you bore,
It was a badge of pride on my heart I wore,

The beauty that have, you have through and through,
There is no other woman on this earth as wonderful as you,
Your selflessness was greater than any man should deserve,
You were always there when someone needed you ready to serve,

You kept me grounded and steadfast too,
You always knew exactly what to do,
Since you left me all I can do is to weep,
My sorrow is oh so deep,
I cry throughout the day and the night,
My loneliness is overbearing,
I cannot sleep,
I need you beside me, to feel complete,
Your arms around me, your soft sweet face upon mine;
Reminiscing about old time.
All the things we achieved in our life together,
In sunshine or bad weather,
We withstood the storms
And built a life so fine,
It was almost as if it were divine.

We joked and laughed and cried together,
I need your determination to get through this stormy weather,
I need for you to just sing me one more song,
To give me the strength to move along,
My world is empty now that you’re gone,
I’ll love you forever and ever, my beautiful wife,
I long to be with you in the next life,
I can’t wait for you to once again to be my bride,
So please, wait for me on the other side.

With all my love, forever and ever,
Your husband, Roy.

You will be missed! I know Major will miss you dearly. Our family kept Major while Erika under went her treatments and the night she passed on Major let out a very long and sad howl that he has never done before. We find out it was when Erika passed away. What a beautiful soul she is and so honored to have met this family!

You are in the arms of the angels now Erika. I along with many others will miss you. Thank you for the wonderful care you provided me on my visits to the dental clinic over many years and just for being a friend. You will always be thought of in a loving and caring way for your kindness to others. Rest in our Savior's arms, we will see you again as one of his promises. God bless your dear family during their time of loss. We love you Erika.

Oma I always had a special bond with you. This was because I was your namesake and because I loved you as my grandmother. You were taken from us, way before it was time for you to go. I will always remember you and , keep a special place in my heart for you next to Aunt Maria. You were always so kind, sweet, and caring to me for that I'm grateful. I will miss you and I'm sure I'm see you at my graduation next week along with Aunt Maria.

Love your grandson "The" Erik

Roy and family-- May God give you strength in this difficult time. We're thinking of you. Erika was a wonderful wife and mother. She was an outstanding "Army wife"-- which is a special title.
Respectfully, Dianne and Jay

I love you mama! I will miss you.

When your mother dies
It doesn't matter how old you are.
You still feel like an orphan because
You've lost your guiding star.

She's the one you've always turned to
Whenever anything went wrong.
She's the one who cleaned your skinned knees,
Kissed your boo boos
And chased nightmares away with a song.

She was there to celebrate
All your important days with you,
Like birthdays, and holidays,
And your very first day of school.

It was easy to take her for granted
Because you knew she'd always be there,
Until the day that she wasn't,
And you discovered life truly wasn't fair.

So take a moment to remember the best things about her,
Like her gentle hands and open arms,
And how close the two of you were.

And you can be sure she's in Heaven
Thinking of you on this day above any other.
That's because you are the wonderful reason
That she became a mother.
