Nicholas Nathaniel Courtney

Nicholas Nathanial Courtney, 25, of Elizabethtown, passed away Monday, March 12th, 2018 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Nick was born in Elizabethtown to Brian K. Courtney and Christiane Courtney.  He graduated from Western Kentucky University with a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration.  While attending WKU, Nick was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Nick served six years in the Kentucky National Guard; he was currently serving in the United States Army Reserve.

Nick loved his friends, family, and animals, which he considered children. He loved to travel and wanted to explore the world. He will remain in our hearts and we will forever remember his voice, laugh, and smile that lit up the entire room.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Brian Courtney and Christiane Courtney.

He is survived by his brother, Georg Courtney of Vine Grove; three nephews; a niece; an oma; two aunts, Angelika Heinen of Rome, Italy and Michelle Courtney Fout of Bothell, Washington; fiancé Chloe Anderson of Elizabethtown and their animal children, Cash, Chuck, and Kobe Courtney.

A Memorial service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Mark Bishop officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until noon the day of the service.
