Barney DeJarnette Obituary

Barney T. DeJarnette, 71, of Guston, KY passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. DeJarnette was retired from Civil Service, Fort Knox, KY with forty years of service. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era and was a game warden for Fort Knox for over seventeen years.

He was preceded in death by four siblings, Bob, Lois, Phyllis, and Don.

Survivors include:
His wife of fifty years, Elena Smith; two sons, Randall T. DeJarnette, Scott DeJarnette; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn DeJarnette, Alexis DeJarnette, Aiden DeJarnette, Connor Alvey; one brother, Ron DeJarnette; one sister, Marietta Kerrick; and a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Saturday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A memorial service for Mr. DeJarnette will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
