Bruce Gilland

Bruce Gilland, 85, of Radcliff, KY passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Gilland was retired from the United States Air Force and also retired from the Department of Defense having worked in California, Korea, and Montana. His memberships include: Stovall United Methodist Church, Radcliff, KY, American Legion Post #113, Elizabethtown, KY, a charter member of Military Education & Counseling Association, and he was listed in a book of Who’s Who of the West. He was also a graduate of Blackstone School of Law, Rollins College, University of New York, and University of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy T. & Audie Francis Horning Gilland; two brothers, Roy Gilland, Jr., Thomas Gilland; two sisters, Joann Jenkins, and Faye Schwartz.

Survivors include:
His loving wife of fifty eight years, Anita Gilland of Radcliff, KY; three children, Cynthia Allas & her husband, Edgar of Fairfield, CA, Kristi Padgett of Easley, SC, Brent Gilland & his wife, Marti of Hammond, OR; seven grandchildren; and one great granddaughter.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Thursday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Gilland will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Craig Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
