Harold Howard “Harry” Cook, 83, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Sunday, September 2, 2018 at his residence.
Mr. Cook was retired from the United States Army and a veteran of the Korean War & Vietnam War. He was retired from Civil Service, Fort Knox, KY; a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Vine Grove, KY; and a member of American Legion Post #113, Elizabethtown, KY. Most of all he was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and veteran who loved the outdoors.
He was preceded in death by a son; Harry Russell Cook; a grandson, Brandon Cranmer; and his parents, Forrest & Priscilla Cook.
Survivors include:
His loving wife of 54 years, Christel Cook of Elizabethtown, KY; one daughter, Trixy Butler & her husband, Ron; two grandsons, Andrew & his wife, Jessicca Cranmer, Triston Butler; two great grandchildren, Grayson, Annabeth; one brother, Russell Cook; a daughter in law, Candy Cook; and a host of family & friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Ryan Schneider officiating. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY with military honors.
