Iva Jane (Cowley) Hinds

Iva Jane Hinds, 83, of Radcliff, KY passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mrs. Hinds was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church, Radcliff, KY. She loved her family and taking care of children & friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Lee Hinds; one daughter, Pam; and a brother, John Atherton.

Survivors include:
Three sons, Mike Hinds (Julie) of Rineyville, KY, Glenn Hinds (Kari) of Vine Grove, KY, Darwin Hinds (Jenny) of Elizabethtown, KY; one daughter, Julie Morrow (J.P.) of Elizabethtown, KY; seventeen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one sister, Wilda C. Harne of Radcliff, KY; and a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Friday at the Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hinds will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Chism Family Funeral Home with Rev. Faron Knopp officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.

"I’m gonna skip my 3 things that made me happy today to tell you that my Grandma Hinds passed away.  She was a special woman who loved you from the minute she met you. It didn’t matter if you were born to her children or came with their marriage she loved you all the same. I was lucky enough to get to sit with her and our wonderful family as she drew her last breath and the good in today was how amazing this family is and how strong they are and how Gods timing is always perfect as my Megan was here from Hawaii on leave. I will miss her, her big shiny jewelry, her smile and her big ol kisses. Please pray for the Hinds family in the coming days as we lay sweet Grandma to rest."
