James Whitaker Obituary

SFC (RET) James E. Whitaker, 58, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Whitaker was retired from the United States Army. He was a member of Disabled American Veterans.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Whitaker; two brothers, Andrew Whitaker, and Eddy Whitaker.

Survivors include:
His loving wife, Margie Whitaker of Vine Grove, KY; one daughter, Shauna Whitaker (Danielle), Jason Whitaker (Jessica) both of Vine Grove, KY; two grandchildren, Maliki Whitaker, Leiam Whitaker; his mother, Fay Whitaker; one sister, Shannon Whitaker; two brothers, Tim Whitaker (Lisa), Mark Whitaker (Melissa) all of Ohio; a sister in law, Margaret Whitaker; several nieces, nephews, family & friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM Monday at the Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Whitaker will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 16, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
