John Wheeler, III Obituary

John Edward Wheeler, III, 70, of Elizabethtown, KY passed away Monday, June 3, 2019 at his residence.

Mr. Wheeler was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War era. He was a member of American Legion Post #113, Elizabethtown, KY and he was the first union president for Dana Corporation, Elizabethtown, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John & Margie Wheeler, II.

Survivors include:
His wife of thirty seven years, Cindy Wheeler of Elizabethtown, KY; three sons, John E. Wheeler, IV (Angela) of Louisville, KY, Michael Wheeler (Kacey) of Louisville, KY, Daniel Wheeler (Heather) of Elizabethtown, KY; two daughters, Katy Wheeler of Elizabethtown, KY, Whitney Dye (Jeff) of Sonora, KY; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Lennie Wheeler of Louisville, KY; one sister, Melissa Allen of Louisville, KY; and a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Thursday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Wheeler will be held at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 6, 2019 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with military honors.
