Mary Josephine (Sanders) Lombardo

Mary Josephine “Jo” Lombardo, 78, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mrs. “Jo” had retired from the Jefferson County School system where she had worked at the Robert Frost Middle School for many years. She was also know as “Mamaw” to many people whom she knew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William & Martha Sanders.

Survivors include:
Two daughters, Martha Sepulveda & her husband, Ray of Vine Grove, KY, Debbie Wall & her husband, Wayne of Vine Grove, KY; three grandchildren, Elaine Lewis & her husband, Josh of Elizabethtown, KY, Amanda Dalton & her husband, Lucas of Albany, KY, Joseph Sepulveda & his wife, April of Eastview, KY; nine great grandchildren, Mateo, Sadie, Lucie, Nolan, Seth, Lincoln, Oliver, Jacob, Emerson; five siblings, Billy Sanders of Hawesville, KY, Betty Taylor & her husband, Steve of Fordsville, KY, Sarah Jane Hale of Hudson, KY, Tommy Sanders & his wife, Cathy of Fordsville, KY, Pat Sanders of Fordsville, KY; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday and from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM Thursday at the Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lombardo will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 28, 2019 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow at the Grey Hampton Cemetery.
