SGM Ralph Martinez (Ret) Obituary

SGM Ralph P. Martinez (Ret), 81, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Monday, February 5, 2018 at his residence.

SGM Martinez was retired from the United States Army and a veteran of the Vietnam War having served two tours. He was a lifetime member of V.F.W. Post #10281, Vine Grove, KY and a founder of the Vine Grove Veterans Assistance Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro & Catalina Martinez; two brothers, Pedro Martinez, Robert Martinez; two sisters, Lupe Duran, and Anna Riley.

Survivors include his wife of fifty five years, Dora Martinez of Vine Grove, KY; two children, Peter A. Martinez & his wife, Marie of Chester, MD, Diana Martinez of Radcliff, KY; and several nieces, nephews, family & friend.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Coffey & Chism Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A V.F.W. service will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday at the funeral Home.

A graveside service with military honors for SGM Martinez (Ret) will be held at 12:30 PM, Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with Rev. Daniel Lincoln officiating.
