Agnes Mae (Skees) Horton

Agnes Mae Skees Horton, 78, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Horton was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY. She was a housewife and a loving mother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie R. Horton; her  parents,Mitchell Stoy, Sr. & Rena Agnes Chenault Skees ; a brother, Mitchell Skees, Jr.; and a sister, Christine Higgs.

Survivors include: Four children, Steve Horton & his wife, Betty of Vine Grove, KY, Judy Weidemann & her husband, Mark of Rineyville, KY, John Horton of Muldraugh, KY, Dawn Hancock & her husband, John of Rineyville, KY; nine grandchildren; Heather Hack, John Weidemann, John-Chase Hancock, Jase-Ryan Hancock, Melissa Golwitzer, Edward Day, Matthew Horton, Shane Horton, Joshua Horton; fifteen great grandchildren; five siblings, Mary Anna Goodman of Elizabethtown, KY, Martha Mullins of Elizabethtown, KY, Calvin Skees of Cecilian, KY, Geneva Hatfield of Marshall, VA, Violet Stith of White Mills, KY; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, 189 Pickerell Lane, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Horton will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 30, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, 189 Pickerell Lane, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Bill Felker officiating. Burial will follow at the Pole Bridge Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 14796 Salt River Road, Eastview, KY.
