Allen Dunkin

Allen Dunkin, 69, of Radcliff, KY a man of unwavering faith, love for his family and a passion for service, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2023 at the Robley Rex VA Hospital, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on Saturday, April 10, 1954, in Tupelo, Mississippi, Allen led a life marked by dedication, and selflessness.

In his professional life, Allen served his country with honor and distinction, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel from the United States Army where he was a Nurse Practitioner. Allen was also deeply involved in his community. He was an active member of the Stithton Baptist Church in Radcliff, Kentucky. He held the position of President at the Otter Creek Gideon Camp, further demonstrating his commitment to service and his community. He enjoyed horses and was an avid fan of the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, James W. Dunkin; his mother, Hazel McAllister; and a brother, James Wayne Dunkin.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; his children, Cody (Reece), Kelsey (Chad), Stephanie; his grandchildren, Taylor, Christian, Brooke; his sister, Judy (David); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, October 23, 2023 and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Stithton Baptist Church, 95 Park Avenue, Radcliff, Kentucky.

Funeral services for Mr. Dunkin will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Stithton Baptist Church, 95 Park Avenue, Radcliff, KY with Pastor Denver Copeland officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
