Betty L. McBeath, 87, of Radcliff, KY passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 in Florida. Born November 13, 1933 in Clarksville, Iowa to William and Elsie Kelm. Betty was the oldest of seven children. She married Donald “Mac” McBeath on December 31, 1957 who preceded her in death in 2019. They had three children together.
Betty supported Don during his 24-year Air Force career, always willing to move and create a home in any location they were assigned. After many moves, they settled in Radcliff, Kentucky where they lived for 40 years. Betty began working at Fort Knox where she had several challenging jobs in finance, bookkeeping and officer promotions. She received many awards recognizing her impeccable work.
Betty was also known for her fabulous cooking, cake decorating, flower gardening, canning, bunco playing and craft skills. She enjoyed having a house full of people who she could cook for, play games with and reminisce. Her faith was very important to her and was a proud member of the United Methodist Church in Radcliff.
Betty is lovingly survived by three daughters, Valerie Dickson & her husband, Tim of Apollo Beach, FL, Michelle Ferguson & her husband, Danny of Fort Payne, AL; Kathie Karem & her husband, Fred of Louisville, KY; three grandchildren, Melody, Bryce, Dylan.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Wednesday and from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Thursday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mrs. McBeath will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 14, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Darren Gillespie officiating. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
