Betty Jo (Brown) Lancaster

Betty Jo Brown Lancaster, 84, of Flaherty, KY, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at the Signature of North Hardin.

Mrs. Lancaster was a member of St. Martins of Tours Catholic Church, Flaherty, KY. She was retired from the Meade County school system where she worked as a food service manager.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert T. “Bobby” Lancaster; one son, Larry Lancaster; her parents, Herman & Anna Mae Brown; one brother, Mike Brown; two sisters, Anna Jane Sanders, Catherine Whelan.

Survivors include:
Five sons, Gary Lancaster & his wife, Liz of Flaherty, KY, Dan Lancaster & his wife, Terry of West View, KY, Bill Lancaster & his wife Susan of Flaherty, Jerry Lancaster & his wife, Sherry of Brandenburg, KY, Tom Lancaster of Rineyville, KY; a daughter, Patti Voyles & her husband, Stacy of Flaherty, KY; twelve grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maggie Whelan of Flaherty, KY, Cille Whelan of Brandenburg, KY; two brothers, Anthony Brown of Elizabethtown, KY, Bim Brown of Brandenburg, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday and from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM, Monday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Lancaster will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, October 5, 2020 at St. Martin of Tours Gymnasium, Flaherty, KY with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Catholic Church Cemetery.
