William T. “Bill” Davis, born on December 6, 1935 and passed away November 9, 2025 at the age of 89. He passed away peacefully at his home with his devoted, loving wife of 68 years, Noelita by his side.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, William Truman Davis, Francis Thomas and Rosalene Thomas; and a son Francis Ross Davis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sonja Noelita (Cecil); five children, Roy Davis (Beth), Mary Kuhn (Larry), Barbara Loop (Doug), Owen Davis (Becky), and Dale Davis (Tracie); 13 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, and a host of extended family and friends.
Bill was incredibly proud of his family, and it didn't take long for him to start bragging about his children and grandchildren. He also often praised Noelita's wonderful cooking. Everyone knew that Noelita cared for him devotedly from the day they were married.
Bill maintained a tireless work ethic throughout his life. He began his career at Frake’s Lumber Company, moved through various construction jobs, and eventually started his own concrete company, where he taught his sons the trades. His final move was to Millerstown to run a sawmill. He managed all of these professional roles while simultaneously farming.
His happiest moments were often spent on a tractor farming. For many years, he and Noelita raised a huge garden and took pride in canning hundreds of jars of vegetables, including beans, corn, and tomatoes, to provide for the family. In addition to the garden, Bill loved farming tobacco, corn, soybeans, hay, and cows.
