It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of SFC Charles R. Milam (Retired), a disabled veteran who dedicated his life to service, family, and community. Charles passed away on Monday, March 24th, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
A proud patriot and devoted soldier, Charles (Bob to his family and friends) served his country with honor and distinction, leaving an enduring legacy of courage and resilience.
Above all, Bob was a loving husband and father who cherished his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 26 years, Martha (Marti) Milam, his children: Charles Milam, Jamie Smithburger, Chris Milam, Alan Milam, Olivia Milam, and Alison Ball. His love will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, which also includes six grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren,
Bob will be remembered for his unwavering strength, his kind spirit, and his unselfish heart. His absence will be deeply felt by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 PM, Friday, April 4, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he made a profound and lasting impact on the lives of so many. His memory will forever remain in our hearts.
