Bobby Paul Dobbins, lovingly known by many as “Grumpy,” passed away on November 26, 2025, in his home in Radcliff, Kentucky, surrounded by the love of his family. He was 64 years old.

Born on January 25, 1961, in Greenville, Mississippi, Bobby was a man who carried a tough, sarcastic exterior, but anyone who truly knew him understood the softness beneath it. He loved his family fiercely, and that love showed up in countless everyday moments. His grandchildren affectionately nicknamed him “Grumpy,” a name that stuck and quickly became one of his favorite badges of honor.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Elizabeth “Nikki” Dobbins; his daughters, Jessica Davis and Sara Faye Jenkins; his son, Jacob Dobbins; and his bonus children, Austin Young (Jacob Goolsby), Amiee May, Maya Hill, and Mattie Briosh. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren; his brother, Charles Dobbins; his sister, Sissy Hendrix; and many cherished friends and extended family.

He is reunited in Heaven with his parents, Bobby and Jewel Dobbins; his brothers, David and Billy Dobbins; and his grandchildren, Jedidiah Davis and BK Jenkins.

Bobby was a proud member of Fruition Church in Hodgenville, Kentucky. His favorite moments were simple ones—quiet days spent with his wife, and time spent laughing, teasing, and making memories with his children and grandchildren. Family was the center of his world, and he gave his best to the people he loved most.

A life like his leaves a mark that doesn’t fade. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM, Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Fruition Church, 200 S. Lincoln Blvd., Hodgenville, KY 42748. Visitation will begin after 3:00 PM, Thursday at the church.
