Brett Austin Swann, 42, of Elizabethtown, passed away at Baptist Health Hardin on Tuesday, March 17, 2026.
Brett proudly served in the US Army for seven years with combat tours to both Iraq and Afghanistan.
He is remembered most by his family as being a good brother and great friend. He was a great story teller and had a great sense of humor. Brett loved to listen to music and play guitar.
He is survived by his parents; Jeffrey and Christal Swann; two brothers; Daniol Swann, Matthew Swann; a sister, Sarah Reeves; his beloved fiance; Terri Garvin; two step children, Hailee Borgmeier, Zoey Williamson; several nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 3:30 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove.
Funeral services for Mr. Swann will be held at 3:30 PM, Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove.
Burial with military honors will be at 1:30 PM on Monday, March 30, 2026 at the KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff.
