Carolyn Jane Rouse (Duggins), aka ‘Moon’ of Elizabethtown, KY passed away peacefully in her home on March 20th at the age of 58.

Carolyn was a proud mother, an avid amateur gardener (producing at least 6 edible tomatoes over her lifetime), beach enthusiast, and prominent re-homer of stray cats, providing homes to no fewer than 40 felines over the years. 

Her career as a licensed practical nurse allowed her to use her skills of caring for others and always being on the move while allowing her to utilize her night owl demeanor. Being active at night, her favorite foods of tacos and hot wings were always available to hit the spot after a long day. She, like many of us, wants to bring back Taco Tico.

She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur; one brother, Mike; and faithful dog, Kirby.

Survivors include two sons, Blake (Avery) and Weston; her mother Gloria; one sister Cindy; one brother, John (Lori); three nephews, Tim, Craig, David; a niece, Anna; and best friend forever, Joye.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Monday, March 25, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Ms. Rouse will be held at 2:00, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
