Charles Lee Jett, 61, received his wings on Thursday, May 9, 2024 surrounded by his family. He will be reuniting with his father Charles, brother Billy, and sister Bonnie.

Charles was born November 20, 1962 in Maysville, KY and his spirit will live on through family and friends in the memories of his strong work ethic, ambition, leadership, compassion, humor, and unmatched generosity.

He was a hard worker since his youth, beginning with farming as a child. He had immense pride in his careers in the Army, from which he retired as a Master Sargent, and as an Officer at the U.S. Mint, which he also retired from.

Loving family members carrying on in his honor include his mother Mary; his wife and love of his life Mary Kay; his sons Charles and Christian (spouse Jordan); his grandsons Kellen and Michael; his siblings John, Bob, Kathy and Tim.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Thursday, May 16, 2024 and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, May 17, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Jett will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 17, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Ben Underhill officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or any Veteran’s charity or food pantry.
