Charles Louis Miller Jr Obituary

Charles Louis Miller Jr Obituary

Charles Louis Miller Jr. was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina on October 21, 1946 to the late Viola and Charles Louis Miller Sr.

He departed this life at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on January 27, 2026 at the age of 79. Charles possessed a true heart of gold, ready to offer help to anyone in need. He lived his life with compassion and a desire to make people feel good, and look beautiful. This was a passion he brought to his craft as a Cosmetologist. After pursuing his training, Charles loved nothing more than using his talent, turning his passion for hair into a way to serve his community. 53 years of service, thousands of smiles, and one incredible man. Charles graduated from Carver High School in 1965. He served honorably 25 years in the U.S. Army and retired as Sergeant First Class. He had two tours in Vietnam and three tours to Germany.  Also while in the Army he was an Airborne Ranger as well as a Mechanic. He retired from Fort Knox, Kentucky and was a member St. Stephen Church in Radcliff, Kentucky.

Then there was Mama Shug, (his second mom) whom helped raise him as a teenager. Every time he would talk about her, there was that great big smile.

He reached his final mission: building a life of love and joy with Banessa Kay Miller. He found his true match, his best friend and chosen partner for all the adventures to come, and the woman he would share his happily ever after with. (they were together 13 years). He spent his time with peaceful days at home, watching his favorite movies...Westerns, NCIS, FBI...and  loved good home cooked food. It is truly heartbreaking and he will truly be missed.
