Charles Franklin Simmons, 85, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Simmons was a member of Elizabethtown Church of Christ and he was a veteran of the United States Navy. Charles was an avid outdoorsman who also had a passion for music. Some of his other hobbies include reading, model shipbuilding, golf but above all, Charles will be remembered for his generosity and his love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Fay Simmons; a granddaughter, Abby West; and a sister, Betty Goins.

Mr. Simmons is survived by three children, Steven Paul Simmons, Darrell Franklin Simmons (Kelly), Christina Renee Pantoja (Daniel); seven grandchildren, Jacob Simmons, Nicholas Simmons, Rachel Simmons, Alex Simmons, Zachary Simmons, Kaitlyn Simmons, James West; one great grandson, Elias Simmons; two brothers, Clyde Simmons , Earnest Simmons; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Simmons will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial with military honors will be held at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Hendersonville, TN.
