Christopher Evan Sharp Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and profound love that we announce the passing of Christopher Sharp, who left us far too soon at the age of 36 on Friday, July 11, 2026. Though his time with us was cut short, the impact he made on the lives of everyone he met will endure forever. To know him truly was to love him.

Chris built a life beautifully centered on two unwavering pillars: his family and his faith. He was a beacon of light in the lives of his loved ones, always greeted the world with his signature smile, and possessed a generous heart that never hesitated to help anyone in need.

Christopher was born on August 3, 1989, to Darrell Sharp and Robin Matthews in Cleveland, OH. Chris attended Warrensville Heights High School. He married Danielle Sharp (Debose) on July 25, 2010 and they had 3 beautiful children together. He was a proud and dedicated servant to his country and community, Chris answered the call of duty by serving in the military, including a deployment to Afghanistan. His commitment to protecting others continued closer to home, where he served bravely as a firefighter at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

When he wasn’t saving the day, spending time with his family or fixing anything and everything that broke around the house, Chris knew exactly how to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. He loved nothing more than casting a line while fishing, immersing himself in his favorite video games, and finding any excuse to goof around and make people laugh. However, there was one thing he absolutely despised: running. While he would proudly run into a burning building for his community, he made it very clear that running for "fun" was entirely out of the question.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Robin.

He leaves behind a legacy of joy, service, and unconditional love. Chris is survived by his beloved wife Danielle Sharp; three children, Jayden, Arianna and Carter Sharp, who was the center of his world. His father, Darrell Sharp; one brother, Darrell Sharp, Jr; his grandmother Anna Sharp; as well as a host of extended family and community that is deeply grateful for his service and his friendship.
