Cynthia “Cindy” Kay Lies, 67, of Shelbyville, KY passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.

Cindy was a beloved wife and mother. In support of her husband David’s military career, Cindy spent many years dedicated to raising their children. Living in both the U.S. and Germany as a proud military family, she gained a passion for disaster preparedness/relief while working for the American Red Cross. She later worked at several Assisted Living facilities; most recently as the Housing Director of The Rosemount Senior Living in Rosemount, MN.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lewis “Pete” Keller and a brother, Gregge Johnson.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 46 years, David; two children, Matthew (Naomi) Lies and Jennifer Lies both of Shelbyville, KY; two granddaughters, Emmalyn Lies and Lenora Lies both of whom were the light of Cindy’s life; her mother, Arlene Keller; three siblings, Lori Stein, Todd Keller, and Kirsten Carry; several nieces and nephews and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 12:30PM until 1:30PM, Monday, July 1, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Lies will be held at 1:30PM, Monday, July 1, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Ben Underhill officiating. Burial will follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Red Cross.
