Della Marie (Blair) Kruger

Della Marie Kruger, a loving, selfless, and generous woman, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on Tuesday, December 20, 1977, in Louisville, Kentucky, Della lived a life full of passion and kindness that will be remembered by all those who were fortunate to know her.

Della was born to Donald and Rebecca, who preceded her in death, along with her sister Jerry. She was a pillar of strength to her family, which included her husband, Mike Kruger, and her children, Harleigh (Avery Martin), Dylan, Kassia and Rayna.

Della was the beloved sister of Billy, Gary, Tammy, Carl, Donna, and Mike. She held a special bond with each of her siblings, their shared memories and laughter were a source of comfort and joy throughout her life. Della's family also extended to numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She had an incredible capacity to love and made everyone around her feel like family. Her home was always open to her bonus children because she was a mother to any and all.

Della's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. She had a talent for crafts, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her love for detail and color. Her garden was her sanctuary, a place where she could lose herself among the blooms and greenery, nurturing each plant with the same love she gave to those around her. Della had a particular fondness for hummingbirds, their delicate beauty and swift grace fascinated her, and she spent countless hours caring for them.

Della's love for animals was boundless. She was known in her community for her kindness towards all creatures, often going out of her way to feed stray animals and provide them with shelter. Her kindness and generosity extended to all aspects of her life, and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Kruger will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Cremation will follow the service.
