Elaine (Frakes) Youravich

Elaine Youravich, 78, of Rineyville, KY passed away Thursday, December 1, 2022 surrounded by her family.  

Elaine was born June 22, 1944 in Vine Grove, KY the daughter of Leslie and Ruby (Patterson) Frakes.  Elaine spent her childhood in Vine Grove and graduated from Vine Grove High School in 1962.

Elaine was united in marriage to Mike Youravich on October 28, 1962.  They shared 60 amazing years, a testament of love to their children, grandchildren and all that knew them.  Early in their marriage they both were prominently involved in Jaycees and Jayceettes along with other charitable organizations.  

Elaine had very diverse occupations throughout her life, which included co-owner of Jiffy restaurant, school bus driver, newspaper carrier, manager of Mr. Tuxedo, but she was most proud of her positions as Mom and Mamaw.

Survivors include her husband, Mike Youravich; her four children, Shauna (Allen) Miller of Lawrenceburg, KY, Shaun (Michelle) Youravich, of Elizabethtown, KY, Shane (Amy) Youravich, of Sellersburg, IN and Shea (Ashley) Youravich, of Rineyille, KY; her ten grandchildren, Tegan (Assaf) Miller-Gleizner, Trenton Miller, Tanner Miller, Mikale Youravich, Marrisa (Andrew) Youravich Shufelt, Collin Youravich; Hailey Daugherty, Peyton Daugherty, Kayla Daugherty, Waden Daugherty; her great grandson Dallas Miller; brother, Darold Frakes, sister, Darlene Frakes Bieber; sister-in-law Evelyn Frakes, brother-in-law, Jack Whelan and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Ruby Frakes; two brothers, Harold Frakes and Larry Frakes; two sisters, Clara Mae (Pee Wee) Corbett and Lynette Whelan; and brother in laws, Mike Bieber and Gene Corbett.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, December 5, 2022 and from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Youravich will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be extended through donations to Kosair Charities or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
