Ervin T. Hamilton Sr, 92, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY.

Mr. Hamilton was a charter member of Valley View Baptist Church in Vine Grove, KY. MSgt Hamilton was retired from the United States Army and he was the former owner of Wood-N-Things. Some of his hobbies include poetry and giving away wooden key chains & crosses, a small but heartfelt expression of his desire to help people in their journey toward heaven.

He was preceded in death by two wives, Bernice and Edith; two children, Ervin Hamilton Jr, Debra Lynn Wilson; his parents, Joseph & Versie Cole Hamilton; and two siblings, Winifred Hamilton & Leo Hamilton.

Mr. Hamilton is survived by three children, James Hamilton, Randy Hamilton, Jerry Brown; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM, Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, Kentucky and from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Monday, June 15, 2026, at Valley View Baptist Church, 501 Valley View Drive, Vine Grove, Kentucky.  

A funeral service with military honors will be held for Mr. Hamilton at 1:00 PM, Monday, June 15, 2026 at Valley View Baptist Church, 501 Valley View Drive, Vine Grove, Kentucky.

Burial will be at Wilson Cemetery, Paintsville, Kentucky.
