Linda Faye Atcher, 72, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Thursday, July 1, 2021.
Born in Campbellsville, Faye graduated from Taylor County High School. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church and was a retired educator from Hardin County Schools.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Gladys Rafferty Newton; two brothers, Doris Newton, Billy Newton; two sisters, Shirley Maupin and Jan Cates.
She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Robert (Bob) Atcher; two children, Tanya (Chris) Corder of Vine Grove, Neil (Mary Donna) Atcher of Elizabethtown; five grandchildren, Andrew Corder, Emma Corder, Addie Atcher, Sadie Atcher, Whitley Atcher; four brothers, Rick (Kim) Newton of Elizabethtown, J. Paul (Carlene) Newton, David Alan (Angie) Newton, Michael Newton of Campbellsville; three sisters, Bonnie (Eddie) Claycomb of Bowling Green, Carolyn Whitlock, Margaret (Larry) Gadberry of Campbellsville; a sister in law, Patsy (Bill) Gerkins of Garrett; and a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Monday, July 5, 2021 and from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Atcher will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home with Brother K. Christian Burton officiating. Burial will follow at North Hardin Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Radcliff, KY.
