Fran Worness

Frances “Fran” Worness, 75, of Vine Grove, KY passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Fran worked a long and distinguished career as an Administrative Professional, proud of her ascent to Vice President & Controller of Closet Works before her retirement.  Well-known by many in the closet and organization industry, she has been recently remembered as a force to be reckoned with and the “First Lady of the Closet Industry”.

Even managing such an amazing career, Fran and her husband Charles “Chuck” Worness (deceased) provided a stable and loving home for their children Sandi Irwin (Skip), Steve Worness (Jackie), Dina Ragland (Nick) and Dawn Sano (deceased).   In her later years, her heart truly belonged to her five grandchildren:  Eric, Katrina, Anthony, Candice and Austin, as well as her two cats, Dusty and Mischief.

Fran became a transplant to Kentucky in 2012, but she loved and missed her siblings Kirk, Kim and Kevin and communicated with them often.  With so much love to share, she became an honorary member of the Fortner family.  Jon, Andra and Miani of Kentucky adopted her as “Granny Fran”.  All who knew her will miss her smile,her laughter and giving nature.

Fran was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Radcliff, KY.  The voices of the choir brought her comfort and joy.

Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 1106 S. Wilson Rd, Radcliff, KY

Funeral services for Fran Worness will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the chapel of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Cremation will follow the service.
