Frances Fay (Troutt) Simmons

Frances Fay Simmons, 81, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Sunday, November 23, 2025 at Norton’s Audubon Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Frances's spirit and passion were evident in everything she did, from the way she decorated her home to the cherished time she spent with her family. She was also an avid fan of Hallmark Christmas movies, where she found joy and comfort in the heartwarming stories they told.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Abby West; a sister, Joyce Hill; and a brother, J.B. Troutt.

Mrs. Simmons is survived by her husband of 61 years, Charles Franklin Simmons; three children, Steven Paul Simmons, Darrell Franklin Simmons (Kelly), Christina Renee Pantoja (Daniel); seven grandchildren, Jacob Simmons, Nicholas Simmons, Rachel Simmons, Alex Simmons, Zachary Simmons, Kaitlyn Simmons, James West; one great grandson, Elias Simmons; one sister, Berniece Kessell; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Simmons will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 29, 2025 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Hendersonville Memory Gardens, Hendersonville, TN.
