George Allen Handley, 77, of Radcliff, KY passed away Friday, January 30, 2026.
Mr. Handley proudly retired as an airplane mechanic in the United States Air Force. Prior to that George was a graduate of Larue County High School where he played various sports including football, basketball and track. Other jobs that George held were with Lockheed Martin and the United States Postal Service. Beyond his professional life, George was a man of diverse interests and skills. He possessed various technical certificates and had an incredible ability to work on and fix automobiles. Some of his hobbies included collecting coins, knives, tools, and fishing. When George was younger he enjoyed playing the guitar, harmonica and singing. It was George's innate desire to help others that truly defined him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles & Annie Handley; and several siblings.
Mr. Handley is survived by two children, Tonya Handley, Allen Handley; one granddaughter, Amaya Handley; three siblings, Dorothy Ingram, Elmer “Dill” (Debbie) Handley, Joyce Handley; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00PM, Monday, February 9, 2026 at Chism Family Funeral Home and from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at First Missionary Baptist Church, Hodgenville, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Handley will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at First Baptist Church - Hodgenville with Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
