Gloria Alexander Obituary

Gloria Jean Alexander, 79, of Elizabethtown lost her battle to cancer at home and entered into her heavenly rest on Friday, November 7, 2025.

She was born on October 2, 1946 in Webster, Massachusetts and graduated from Bartlett High School. As a wonderful Army wife of a career soldier, she traveled and enjoyed living in Alaska, Hawaii and numerous other states. Gloria was a consummate professional in a number of civil service positions as the family changed assignments. She performed hundreds of hours in volunteer positions with Red Cross, Army Community Service and other organizations. Mrs. Alexander was also a radio disc jockey where she excelled at community involvement. She volunteered and spent seven days in White Mountain Alaska as a supporter of the Famous Iditarod Race, a highlight of her many volunteer commitments. Her sports highlights was watching her son play sports, and she won a closest to the pin trophy in a golf tournament.  She participated in several 5K and 10K races. She loved her dogs, always having at least one, usually more. She had such a fulfilling life. She was preceded in death by her two precious infant sons, Brian and Daniel George, her MI-MI, and a number of other family members. She leaves behind her husband of 55 years, Bobby; a son Michael; 3 granddaughters, Ashley, Reagan, Peyton; a daughter in law, Rhonda; a sister, Lorraine; and a sister in law Gloria. She also leaves eight wonderful Bunco Pals whom had been meeting for 29 years; the best Bob Evans server & friend, Michelle; and a host of extended family & friends. Gloria had a once in a lifetime journey and cancer won in the end, but a trip well worth it.
