James Lester Carter, 65, of Radcliff, KY passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at his residence.
After his service in the Marine Corps, Mr. Carter embarked on a fulfilling career in the construction business, where he worked diligently for 35 years. Following his tenure in construction, he shifted gears and spent 11 years as a truck driver, a role in which he found great joy. He was also an avid gardener, his culinary skills were second to none and he harbored a love for antique cars.
Mr. Carter is survived by his wife, Paula Carter; his mother, Doris Sadler; his father, Bill Carter; six siblings, William Carter, Angie Thompson, Eva Delk, Rita Fuston, Sherry Sadler, Hubbard Sadler Jr; ten nieces & nephews, William, Nick, Hunter, Josephina, Jacob, Buddy, Stephanie, Charlie, Evan, Ricky; and a host of great nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, August 9, 2024 at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Carter will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, August 9, 2024 at Valley View Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY with Rev. Mark Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Vine Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Valley View Baptist Church Children’s Wing Renovation or Colesburg Baptist Church.
