James A. Roemele Obituary

James Alvin Roemele, 77, of Radcliff, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, October 17, 2025, at his daughter’s home in Mount Washington, Kentucky.

Born on August 19, 1948, in Louisville, Kentucky, Mr. Roemele served his country with honor as a veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from the United States Air Force in 1991. Continuing his commitment to public service, he worked from 2003 to 2017 as a TSA Agent at the Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport, helping to ensure the safety of countless travelers.

Mr. Roemele was a proud member of Mount Washington United Methodist Church. He was an avid Trekker, having followed the series from its earliest days, and he found great joy in traveling with his daughters and grandson to Disney parks as well as the National Parks. His life was defined by a deep sense of service and a generous spirit—he loved helping others and never expected anything in return.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sudjai Roemele; his parents, Walter Amiel Roemele and Jeanne Armour Hall Roemele Shaw; his sister, Joan Adele Roemele Noel; and a great-nephew, William Trenton Noel.

He is survived by his wife, Chong Roemele; two daughters, Jennifer Roemele and Julie Roemele-Wronski (Jarrod); two stepdaughters, Crystal Shockency and Samantha Shockency; one grandson, Joshua James Aidan Roemele; two step-grandchildren, Aiden Wronski and Alexis Wronski; his twin brother, John Roemele (Rose); two nephews, Bill Noel (Kathy) and Jimmy Noel; and one niece, Pamela Page (Jeff), along with a host of extended family and friends who will remember him fondly.
