Jane Chapman Dooley, 87, of Brandenburg, KY a faith-filled, thoughtful, and passionate woman, was born on Tuesday, January 14, 1936, in Garnettsville, Kentucky, and passed away on Friday, September 8, 2023, at Signature of North Hardin in Radcliff, Kentucky.
Jane was the daughter of Olen and Elizabeth Chapman, and was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Dooley; her brother, Dewey Chapman; and her sister, Mildred Chapman Goettel. She is survived by her two nephews, Scott Goettel and his wife, Debi, and Alan Goettel, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Mrs. Dooley was retired from Civil Service at Fort Knox, KY, where she was respected for her dedication and work ethic. Her memberships included Buck Grove Baptist Church, Ekron, KY, and the West Point Baptist Church. Her love for music was evident in her service as a pianist for her church, a role she embraced. Her melodious tunes not only filled the sanctuaries but also the hearts of those who had the pleasure of listening. Her faith was unwavering and her dedication to her church communities was a testament to her belief in service and fellowship.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 14, 2023 and from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM, Friday, September 15, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dooley will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 15, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Jay Boyd and Pastor Steven Webb officiating. A private burial will be at Garnettsville Cemetery.
