Jess Figueroa, Jr.

On Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Jesus "Jess" Figueroa, Jr., passed from this life and went home to his Heavenly Father. Jess was 85 years young.

Born in Manhattan, New York, to Jesus and Ramona Figueroa on May 14, 1935.  He is the oldest of four children who all reside in Puerto Rico. Jess joined the United States Army in 1953 proudly serving in the Korean War, the Vietnam conflict and other locations both foreign and domestic.  

Jess retired from military service as a Chief Warrant Officer Four in 1983 and continued to serve in civil service for 15 years including during the Desert Storm conflict. Jess enjoyed doing everything he could for his family and friends, he enjoyed reading, traveling and being a handyman around his home.  Jess married his current wife, Lieselotte, in October 1999 and they traveled to numerous countries and cities throughout their 21 years together.

Jess was preceded in death by his parents; his brother William; and two children, Anthony and Pauline, along with stepson, Roy Gividen. He leaves behind to celebrate his life: his wife, Lieselotte of Kentucky; his three daughters and their families, Jessica & Gary Price of California, Ramona & David LeBleu of Texas, Julia & Andy Gette of Texas; along with grandchildren, Aaron Gette of California, Alexis, Joseph & Jessica Gette of Texas; his son, Christopher Figueroa of California. Also left behind are multiple stepchildren and extending family, including Daniel Gividen of Kentucky, David Gividen of Ohio and Katharina Clark of Nevada.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 11:30 AM, Monday, April 5, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Figueroa will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, April 5, 2021 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial with military honors will take place directly after the service at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.  

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Knights of Columbus.
