John Hower Wilson, 80, of Louisville, KY passed away Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center, Louisville, KY.

Mr. Wilson retired from the United States Army with a distinguished career. Outside of his military service, John was an individual who embraced life with enthusiasm. He was an avid golfer, who was often found on the green, relishing the game's challenges and the companionship of fellow golf enthusiasts. Some of his hobbies include: fishing, shooting pool, and playing cards. Above all, John's greatest joy was being with his family.

Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn Wilson; and several children, grandchildren, great grandchildren & a host of friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Chism Family Funeral Home.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:30 PM, Thursday, August 21, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
