Johnnie R. Horton

Johnnie R. Horton, 81, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Friday, May 28, 2021 at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Mr. Horton was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Vine Grove, KY. He was also retired from Dow Corning after working thirty years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Vonnie Horton; seven siblings, James Leonard Horton, Norman Horton, Anita Griffin, Robert Horton, Virginia Felker, Ralph Horton and Ethel Thomlinson.

Survivors include:
His loving wife of fifty-eight years, Agnes Horton of Vine Grove, KY; four children, Steve Horton & his wife, Betty of Vine Grove, KY, Judy Weidemann & her husband, Mark of Rineyville, KY, John Horton of Muldraugh, KY, Dawn Hancock & her husband, John of Rineyville, KY; nine grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers, Ronald Horton, Jesse Horton both of Vine Grove, KY; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY and from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, 189 Pickerell Lane, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Horton will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Liberty Baptist Church, 189 Pickerell Lane, Vine Grove, KY with Pastor Bill Felker officiating. Burial will follow at the Pole Bridge Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 14385 Salt River Road, Eastview, KY.
