Karen Louise (Wagner) Polston

Karen Louise Polston, 78, of Radcliff, a passionate, loving, and generous woman, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Born on Thursday, December 19, 1944, in Hanover, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Clark and Kathleen Wagner.

Karen was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who devoted her career to caring for geriatric patients. Her kindness and warmth touched the lives of countless patients and their families, leaving a lasting impact on all those she encountered. Even after her retirement, Karen continued to be an advocate for the elderly, always ready to lend a helping hand or a listening ear.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Karen was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Chuck Polston Jr., Tracy Eck (Mike), and Shelly Ross (Bobby); thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and her former husband & close friend, Charlie Polston. A loving sister, Karen is survived by her three brothers, Dick Wagner, Kenny Wagner, and Gary Wagner. Her love for her family knew no bounds, and she took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.

Karen's passing leaves a void in the hearts of her loved ones, but her legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will live on. Those who had the privilege to know Karen will remember her as a woman who made the world a better place through her kindness and dedication to helping others.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, May 19, 2023 and from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Polston will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 20, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow at the North Hardin Memorial Gardens, Radcliff, KY.
