Kirsten Vibeke “Bibs” Ward, 91, of Fort Knox, KY passed away the morning of Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center, Louisville, KY.
Mrs. Ward served in The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem where she was once a worthy high priest. She was retired from Fed Ex as a delivery driver, a role she performed with unwavering dedication and a friendly smile. Kirsten was an avid bowler, her laughter and sportsmanship made every game a memorable event. She was also a great chef who enjoyed sharing her creations with friends and family. Kirsten's hands were rarely still, as her love for knitting produced countless cherished keepsakes. Her creativity was woven into every stitch, crafting warmth and love into every piece. On the golf course, her swing was as graceful as her approach to life, and her love for traveling created memories from all around the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband, LTC Thomas Anthony Ward.
Mrs. Ward is survived by two daughters, Jette Chancey, Clenna Spears & her husband, Chuck; a granddaughter, Matina Cody & her husband, Mark; a great grandson, Garrett; two sisters, Anne Lees & her husband, Irvan, Karen Thornson; one brother, Per Bach Larsen; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
A committal service will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, May 30, 2025 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with Brother Ben Underhill officiating.
