Laurie Paulk Obituary

Laurie Ann Paulk, 67, of Rineyville, KY passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025 at the University of Louisville Hospital.

Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering commitment to helping others, a path that led her to proudly serve her country in the United States Army. Following her military service, Mrs. Paulk continued to embody the spirit of giving through her dedicated work as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the Medical Field.

A woman of many talents, Laurie's passion for baking was as much a part of her identity as her benevolent spirit. She was known for her delicious cakes, which she would generously gift to anyone who would accept them. Her baked creations were not just desserts; they were symbols of her desire to spread joy and sweetness in the world.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Eva, June, Tony, Frankie and May.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, James Randall Paulk Sr; three sons, Michael Joseph Mendez (Laura), Jeramy James Paulk (Caleshia), James Randall Paulk Jr (Veronica); sixteen grandchildren, Penny, Colby, Stella, Kirsten, Lucas, Jade, Brooke, Aliyah, Haley, Morgan, Katie, Jacob, Caleb, Mia, Sofia, Lennox; nine great grandchildren; nine siblings, Viola, Johnny, Rosie, Judy, Mary, Patsy, Elsie, Andrew, Elmo; and a host of extended family & friends.

Cremation was chosen by the family.
