Linda M. Willoughby McNeil, age 85, of Radcliff, KY, passed away on June 10, 2024, at her home after a brief and difficult battle with cancer, she was surrounded by her family.

Linda Marie Willoughby McNeil was born on April 30, 1939, in Falls of Rough, KY to John Henry Willoughby and Effie May (Corley) Willoughby. She grew up in Arthur, Illinois and attended Arthur Lovington Atwood Hammond High School. After graduating in 1957, she pursued a career in hospitality working many beloved years with the lodge at Rough River State Park. She eventually went on to work and retired as a dental assistant with Fort Knox.

Linda married John McNeil on November 19, 1990, and they enjoyed several years together. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished Mimi. Her family meant the world to her.

Linda had a passion for music she spent most of her younger years pursuing a career in country music. She had the opportunity to sing with and open shows for many artists. She was known for her personality and her love for every human being she encountered. She was a second mother to so many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her son Mark (Barb) Carwile and her daughter Mylinda (Joel) Woodward. Six Grandchildren: Kaylyn (Adrian) DeLeon, Kimberly (Jaime) Morris, Jessica (Brady) Hunter, Cassidy Carwile, Tyler Woodward, Courtney Woodward and ten great- grandchildren. As well as Pugsy, her very loyal four-legged companion who never left her side.

She was predeceased in death by her husband John McNeil, her parents, John Henry and Effie Willoughby, her brother, Ray Willoughby and sister, Peggy Williamson.

Visitation will be from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. McNeil will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the support and kindness shown during this difficult time. There is no farewell for a mother and her children, you will always be in our hearts.
