Margaret M. (Wise) Riggs

Margaret M. Riggs, 94, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Riggs was the oldest of ten siblings and the last to pass away. Her family knew her as a caregiver who was always helping others.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Lilburn Riggs; one son, Eural Lunsford, Jr.; and her parents, George & Hester Wise.

Mrs. Riggs is survived by four children, Sue Romans & her husband, Gary of Radcliff, KY, Toni Stamos of Frankfort, KY, George “Butch” Riggs of Texas, Charlie Riggs & his wife, Carol of Texas, fifteen grandchildren, June Morgan, Timothy Moore, David Romans, Constance Taylor, Mary Ann Manuel, Michael Paul Lunsford, Michelle Goodman, Clara Mae Lunsford, Frances Lunsford, Stephie Lunsford, Christopher Stamos, Gabrielle Riggs, Markay Stamos, Dena Raleigh, Crystal Poole; several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 and from 11:00 AM until 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mrs. Riggs will be held at 1:30 PM, Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY with Brother Ben Underhill officiating. Burial will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
