Margarete R. West, 89, of Radcliff, Kentucky, passed away on June 17, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin, Elizabethtown, KY.

Margarete’s passion was doing public service work, especially helping the elderly.  She had several hobbies that she loved doing, like knitting, crotcheting and gardening.  

Survivors include three sons, Gary O. West, Brian F. West, Roger W. West; a daughter, Sarah Sauer; sixteen grandchildren; thirty six great-grandchildren; a brother, Fritz Reichert, and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, at Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.

A Celebration of Life for Mrs. West will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home in Vine Grove, KY.
