Margo Dee (Williamson) Kampe

Margo Dee Kampe, 85, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Born on Sunday, September 12, 1937, in St. Louis, Missouri, Margo's life was characterized by her beautiful smile, and love for her family and friends.

Margo was the cherished daughter of Florence and William Williamson. Her childhood was filled with memorable moments, many of which she delighted in sharing with others. Her stories, often accompanied by pictures of her and her brother, Bill Williamson.

In 1955, Margo's life took a beautiful turn when she married the love of her life, Kent F Kampe, in Addieville, Illinois. Their union, characterized by love, companionship, and adventure, was a testament to their enduring bond. Margo often shared tales of their trips and adventures. Together, they raised two sons, Scott and David, who inherited their parents' strength, spirit, and zest for life.

Margo was not only a dedicated wife and mother but also a woman deeply involved in her community. Her generosity and spirit shone through in the numerous clubs and organizations she was part of. The friendships she forged along the way were a source of great joy to her, and she often spoke fondly of the meaningful relationships she developed throughout the years.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kent, and her brother, Bill, Margo leaves behind a legacy of love and strength. She is survived by her two sons, Scott Kampe (wife, Janet), and David Kampe (girlfriend, Donna). Her legacy also lives on in her cherished grandchildren, Lauren Kampe “Sweet Pea” and David Kampe, and her great-grandchildren, Colin and Nathen Kampe.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

A Celebration of Life service will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, October 27, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Interment will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
