Mary Lou Hobbs Langley, 82, of Lafayette, IN passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026 at the Springs at Lafayette.


Mrs. Langley was an avid gardner; it was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her love for life. Her passion for life was matched only by her compassion for others.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence & Ione Hobbs.


Survivors include her husband, Norman Langley; five children, Mike Buchanan, Lisa Biedermann, Eric Buchanan, Jeff Langley, Melissa Jones; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; seven siblings, Joyce Barmore, Bill Hobbs, Roger Hobbs, David Hobbs, Margaret Gafford, Roy Hobbs, Lynn, Zuber; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.


Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday, January 30, 2026 at Chism Family Funeral Home.


Funeral services for Mrs. Langley will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 30, 2026 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Rineyville Memorial Cemetery.
