Max W. Foster, 84, of Radcliff passed away on Wednesday, 8 June, 2022.
A Veteran of the Vietnam War, he continued his Army career serving a total of 30 years, retiring in 1986 at the rank of Command Sergeant Major.
He was born August 4, 1937 to Max and Ruth Foster of Alexandria, PA. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 603, F&AM, a member of O.E.S ., a member of American Legion Hardin Post 113 and was a member of the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Marjorie A. Foster; his sisters, Becky and Barbara; and his brothers Joe, Ron and Tom.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry J. Foster of Radcliff; 2 sons, Max (Kerry) of New Mexico, Jeff (Mary) of Elizabethtown; a daughter Tracy (Brian) Willcut of Elizabethtown; 2 step-children, Tom Roberts of Radcliff and Tina Coleman of Illinois; 18 Grandkids; 18 Great Grandkids; 3 Great-Great Grandkids and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 and from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.
Funeral services for Mr. Foster will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations to any Homeless Veterans Organization, or to the Vine Grove United Methodist Church Food Pantry would be appreciated.
