Michael Mitchell Obituary

Michael David Mitchell, 71, of Radcliff, KY passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the Carl Beshear Radcliff Veterans Center.

Mr. Mitchell was retired from the United States Navy and a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of St. Christopher Parish, Radcliff, KY and had worked for Civil Service, Fort Knox, KY for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith L. Mitchell; his parents, Dennis & Mary Mitchell; one sister, Millie Bone; and three brothers, Robert Mitchell, James Mitchell, and Ray Mitchell.

Survivors include:
One daughter, Christina Mitchell of Vine Grove, KY; two grandchildren, Whitney Alvey of Vine Grove, KY, Deron Alvey of Radcliff, KY; two step grandchildren, Johnathon Phelps, Timothy Phelps; one brother, Richard Mitchell; three sisters, Janet Voland, Mary Rose Longley, Margaret Dexter; and a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM Sunday and from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM Monday at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be held at 12:30 PM, Monday, October 1, 2018 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY with military honors.
