Mike Foster

Michael "Mike" J. Foster, 77, of West Point, Georgia (raised in Chambers County, Alabama) passed away peacefully on 24 August 2024 at his residence surrounded by family and friends. Mr. Foster was a proud retiree of the United States Army and a decorated Vietnam War Veteran.  His passions included spending time with his family, camping, tinkering in his garage, volunteering as a Veterans Service Officer for the VFW POST 10281, and Alabama football!

Mike is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mary; his two children, Sharon and Christopher, and five grandchildren who brought "PeePaw" great pride and joy.

Mr. Foster will be remembered for his unwavering patriotism, dedication to the military community, and the deep love he had for his family.  

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, September 6, 2024 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Ky.  

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Mike's name to Hosparus Health of Elizabethtown or a local veterans' charity of your choice.
